My First Peachy DIY Collection

Before revealing my collection, I need to express myself that I am really obsessed with Korean entertainment, which are Korean dramas, K-pop, and variety shows, so it is impossible that I would miss the most well-known Korean survival reality show in this year "Produce 101 Season 2".

This reality show is about finding last 11 members out of 101 trainees to debut in the boy group under the show’s project, and now we have got the group named Wanna One.  During this show, I get a lot of inspiration and attitudes from the contestants, and especially I meet a person who I like the most, Kang Daniel💕

Many people and trends say that He looks like Apeach which is one of the Kakao characters because he has bunny teeth and also dyed pink hair in the show.  This characteristic really influences in my artworks.

Now it is time to introduce my collection…😁

A Felt Keychain

I like to watch how to make DIY ideas on Youtube,
so I start making my own keychain inspired by him.

A Cardboard Standee

I draw his cartoon in a very simple version.

And the most current artwork is one of my class projects.

This one is done by a programme called After Effects.  I study the basics of this programme in this term of my college, and at the end, I need to use all skills studied in class to create a short 1-minute animation that I choose him for the main character.

Hope you enjoy my lovely collection😊
And if I have more free time during my university break, other artworks and tutorials might come soon...

Extra...his cats are really cute, Rooney and Peter💜!

A Hermit Crab in a Garden

When I was developing my art skills and studying prerequisite courses in the first year of the college, I became more certain that making things by hands is my passion and forever enjoyable hobby because of the class named Space, Form, and Materials☺.

It is one of my favorite classes which teaches me about conceptualizing and creating three-dimensional designs to meet the task’s objective and also focuses on tools, materials, and craftsmanship. This lovely object has been done in this class, and the assignment is to transform any items which I choose the bucket.

I started with the brainstorm ideas for how to transform the item based on the methods and other materials.  In this step, I did a research about “found objects and surreal objects” and came up with the idea of a hermit crab, then do more research.

The physiology of hermit crabs:
Cute little eyes
Two pairs of claws (big and small underneath the bigger )
Three pairs of legs
Hard opaque shells

It is sad, but nowadays a lot of poor hermit crabs use trash, such as broken glasses, light bulbs, and plastic bottles, for their home instead of natural shells. This can be adapted to be relevant with my project😢😅

During the process, it was fun to do experiment with many types of materials and see the result that might be successful or need alternative options. Especially, I was really happy because the final model was extremely cute♥!! even though its weight was quite...😁

Finally, to describe about my concept, it is combining nonfunctional garden tools, including the main item “ the bucket”, and turning them into the garden’s decoration, and it also creates a contrast between the living hermit crab in the ocean (water) and the surreal one decorates in the garden (grass).

Extra...once I went to the beach...so cute💜
